Our July collection Sol Sister was inspired by the lush green earth and the warmth of the sunshine that brings us alive in the summer months. While designing this collection six months ago in the cold of December, we began to dream of summer getaways. This time we weren’t thinking of a sunny, sandy beach but went for more of a vegetal, woodsy feel.'Our July collection Sol Sister was inspired by the lush green earth and the warmth of the sunshine that brings us alive in the summer months.' The collection is a mix of traditionally casual and dressy fabrications, so for the shoot we were inspired by the new trend of Glamping: a fusion of glamour and camping or sustainable, quasi- outdoor lodging that offers campers comfortable experiences in nature. We took a crew up to Narrowsburg, New York with photographer Fumie Hoppe and rented a 1960’s RV to bring the collection to life. Part of the shoot was done in the middle of a rushing stream near Luxton Lake in upstate New York and the rest just a few steps away in and around the “Canned Ham,” a well-preserved silver metal trailer. Model Anita Marshall was our glamorous 1960s camper who dipped her toes in the cool stream in crisp, cotton dresses and soaked up the sun in front of her RV in a chiffon and lace dress.
