Curvaceously Bee

Our favorite thing to do is sign into Instagram each morning and see all of the creative ways you style your ELOQUII pieces. That’s how Bee, the blogger behind Curvaceously Bee, caught our eye. We loved her quintessentially fall photos in our Studio Tartan Plaid Coat and knew that we had to get to know her better. Check out her thoughts on personal style, trends in 2015 and more below!

ELOQUII: What inspired you to start a blog? Any tips for aspiring bloggers?

Bee: I had a personal Instagram page where I posted my daily outfits, and I found myself sharing where each item was purchased on a regular basis. At the time, I was a senior in college and could not commit to a blog. Once I graduated in December 2013, I silently contemplated starting my blog, and after a major push from my hair stylist/friend I finally committed to blogging. My tip for aspiring bloggers would be to practice consistency. Blogging takes time, and consistency is the key to building a following.

E: How would you describe your personal style, and what has influenced it the most?

B: Thanks for asking about my personal style! My personal style is versatile. I love dressing in vintage and modern pieces while also, repeating pieces to create new looks. I have enjoyed mixing prints, spiked heels, and preppy full skirts. My body type has influenced my personal style. I pride myself on trying to new silhouettes that flatter my pear-shaped figure.

E: We loved your “Mad for Plaid” series in November! Can you share your inspiration and a favorite plaid piece of yours?

B: My “Mad for Plaid” series was persuaded by plaid being the go to print for Autumn and Winter. I decided to pair different plaid pieces that could be worn throughout the seasons. My favorite plaid piece was my ELOQUII coat. I swooned over that coat for weeks and when it first sold out I was heartbroken. Long story short the coat was restocked, and I jumped at the opportunity to own.

E: We at ELOQUII are totally obsessed with holiday trends right now. What are you wearing to your holiday parties? Any outfit advice?

B: This time of the year is my favorite. I enjoy dressing festive. I cannot wait to wear my red full midi skirt, holiday sweaters, faux fur, and metallic pieces. My advice to holiday party goers is to wear your sequin tops/bottoms and throw on your favorite faux fur!

E: If you had to pick one trend to wear for all of 2015, what would it be?

B: My favorite trend that I could wear all of 2015 would definitely be the “all in one”/jumpsuits. I wore my first jumpsuit this past July, and I immediately fell in love. Jumpsuits are the most convenient piece of clothing I own, and the ability to dress a jumpsuit up or down has me sold. I am dying to try the denim on denim trend. Denim on denim is the ultimate casual look, and I cannot wait to try it.

E: What’s been your favorite style moment of 2014?

B: My favorite style moment of 2014 was gaining the confidence to wear my first crop top. In 2013, I bought so many crop tops and never wore them. I wore a bandeau top, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I also felt great to share that experience with my readers.

E: Blogger/vlogger shoutout – who do you love to read/watch & why?

B: The very first blogger I found was PocketsandBows. I have enjoyed the evolution of her style and her ability to try new trends while adding her unique twist. I have gained so much inspiration from The Natural Fashionista; she has inadvertently helped me build my corporate wardrobe around figure flattering pieces. I admire her consistency and her capability to help most women that need help with dressing their body types. This year I found a new favorite to add to my blogger roll, PrettyPlusPep. I love her sophisticated and feminine blog posts. We have similar body types, I purchased my first full midi skirt because her posts.
