One of our favorite summertime memories is crafting homemade “vintage” inspired tie-dye tees. Our newest collection, Indigo Girls, brings us back to these roots. We’re obsessing over the elevated spin on a childhood favorite print. To capture the collection, we teamed up with photographer Claudia Saimbert, who also happens to be a customer. Does it get any better (answer: no)?!
Instead of the “traditional” bright primary colors seen in most homemade tie dye, we turned to the ancient Japanese shibori technique. This was an early Japanese form of dyeing clothes using natural inks, like purple root. The process results in stunning bright indigos shades splashed throughout a white backdrop.
