Welcome to 5x5, our latest series where we challenge one of our fashion idols to style one item five different ways. First up, meet Out of the Corner from Cornerrich.com, who wore our Short Sleeve Chambray Button Down for five days during her staycation in NYC. Spoiler alert: no one noticed. Read more from directly from Out of the Corner and shop her looks below! "As a New Yorker I must say we don’t often take advantage of the beauty in our backyards. For years, vacations meant sandy beaches and palm trees. While those things are amazing, this summer I just wanted to do a few things differently. My best friend was in town from California over the weekend, and I was super excited.  A staycation was on the menu, and I knew just the place to relax, relate and release. Brooklyn! From the beautiful brownstones and super diverse restaurants, we had everything we needed in our reach.

Even though I am a Brooklynite, there are tons of things happening in my city that I haven’t tried. This staycation allowed me to explore and fall in love with my city all over again. We rented two small rooms in a beautiful brownstone for a week in the heights so I had to pack. I love clothing! If I could take my entire wardrobe with me I probably would, but I couldn’t. With minimal space and a desire for maximum style, I needed a piece to transition throughout the week: a garment that could be worn to both a picnic  and a night of restaurant hopping.  Easy pieces like the Short Sleeve Chambray Button Down top from ELOQUII did just the trick. Beautifully made and super lightweight, it got me through the unpredictably summer week in New York. Check out how I styled it!"

DAY ONE

"Our first day we decided to catch up over coffee. We stayed close to our rental and headed to the local café up the street. I wore my chambray top over a simple black t-shirt and printed cropped flare pants. The combination created a effortlessly chic look. I felt both on trend and comfortable. Be aware…everyone will want deets on the pants."

DAY TWO

"Day two we headed to the park for a picnic with a few of our old friends from college. Still determined to wear my chambray top, I paired it the white Belted A-Line Denim Skirt and sneakers. Infusing different color denim brings me to my happy place. With a picnic basket full of goodies and this outfit, I was ready for our small reunion."

DAY THREE

"So my bestie is in New York! Of course she wanted to see the skyline. Seriously what’s a trip to New York without the skyline? To keep my promise to Brooklyn, I suggested a trip to Brooklyn Bridge Park where they serve a huge helping of the best of both worlds. I opted to wear my chambray top buttoned with a statement necklace and navy Studio Pleated Wide Leg Pants. Those small touches allowed me to create cleaner more tailored look. I was on a roll."

DAY FOUR

"Brooklyn has some of the best ice cream shops. On Saturday we hopped on our bike rentals and tried out a few gourmet flavors. It was close to 90 degrees, so shorts were my only logical option. I felt so fun and flirty wearing these peplum shorts. The lollipop color was such a cool contrast to my top. After successfully rocking my shirt for three days straight, I took a chance at repurposing my cropped flair pants into a turban. Totally beating the heat, can you say winning!"

DAY FIVE

"So here I am the last morning before my bestie headed back to the airport. Saying goodbye to the brownstone was so hard (lol). We jumped on the L train and went  to a super trendy restaurant in Williamsburg. I wanted to be both stylish and fashion forward. After receiving tons of compliments on my last denim on denim look, I wanted to give it another shot. Sporting my chambray top under the Cropped Denim Tie Jumpsuit, also from ELOQUII, I fit right in with the locals.

I wore the same shirt for five days and guess what happened. No one noticed."
