Your Easiest Wedding Weekend Wardrobe Ever!
We all know summer and wedding season go hand-in-hand. And for a lot of us, that means celebrating the happy couple all weekend long—from the rehearsal dinner to the main event and wrapping up with Sunday brunch. It can be a lot, and the last thing anyone needs is a last minute wardrobe crisis! My wedding survival strategy is to make an impact with bright colors and fun prints, and keep everything streamlined and comfortable. I refuse to wear a dress I can’t comfortably eat in or shoes I want to take off after 20 minutes!
If you’re on the wedding circuit this summer, check out a few looks I love that can easily go from the beach to the city to the country...wherever the "I Do’s" are happening!
A tailored sundress is the perfect choice for a rehearsal dinner—not too dressy, not too casual. Eyelet lace done in a fit and flare silhouette could read super sweet and girly, but not when it’s done in this Crayola shade of yellow! One of my favorite things about wearing a bold color like this is you don’t need to go crazy with the accessories. Add a simple block heel in a contrasting hue and you’re good to go!
Wedding Ceremony and Reception
Forget the LBD, pink will always be my favorite color to wear to a wedding. It’s romantic and unexpected. Matching separates are always a do in my book, and I love the tiny floral print on this set. The silhouette is really what steals the show—the cropped halter-style top and ruffle-accented skirt touch on this summer’s most popular trends, yet the whole look is still chic and timeless.
Just getting out of bed and to brunch after a big night is a lot of work in and of itself. So don’t overthink the outfit! A kimono-style maxi dress is your best friend, trust me. It’s easy, flattering and looks like you tried harder than you did. I love this bold shade of blue, plus it looks amazing on all skin tones. A flat sandal in a bright hue is the perfect finishing touch. Grab your sunnies and find yourself an iced coffee—you’ve earned it!
