How We #XOQ: Sacred Ground Collection
As you know, we love sharing our customers and friends’ amazing #XOQs in our different styles. And of course our Sacred Ground is no exception. We asked our friend, Kellie Brown from And I Get Dressed, to wear some pieces from the collection and speak to why these sort of pieces are so important. Read on!
There’s something so powerful about being able to wear exactly what you want. The Sacred Ground collection spoke directly to my fashion soul! I’m really inspired by color at the moment and finding dynamic pieces in cool colors shook me to the ground (ha! Get it?)
Anyhoo I tried a few of my favorites from the collection – it was really hard to narrow it down btw, and here’s how I styled them.
Look 1: Monochrome Maven
The first look is inspired by a constant need to burst down the street in inspired monochromatic colors. Melodramatic lavender anyone? Yes, please! Lavender is one of those colors that can surprise you. It pairs so unbelievably well with any number of colors but for me, red takes the cake. This pleated dress is easy and comfortable. It’s one of those year round pieces that will work through any season. As for the faux fur coat, the only possible thing that makes sense in this life is that if you see a lavaender faux fur coat – you get the coat! It’s teddybear soft and cozy. I added the contrast of my favorite red booties to add interest.
Look 2: Timeless Plaid
The second look is all of the 70’s vibes I could ever want. I was so to see yet another iteration of the trench dress – I have it in white also and totally lurking on the black plaid as well. I love the subtle orange, blue and purple moments happening here and the sheer versatility of this dress/jacket. It literally does it all! I added a flare pant to punch up the 70’s inspo.
Look 3: Shine On
The third look is a combination of how I want to look everyday but also exactly what I’d want to wear on my birthday. It’s both wearable and special. I first laid eyes on this yellow sequin t-shirt dress at an ELOQUII fashion week event and knew it needed to be mine. The best part about this dress is that all of the sequins are sewn in the same direction which makes it easy to wear and not at all scratchy. I’m going to wear this way too much. At least once a week seems about right!
