How to Wear It: Winter Dressing

Cooler temps & earlier sunsets might be here, but that doesn’t mean fashion has to take a break! Winter dressing might feel like a chore when all you want to throw on are a pair of cozy lounge pants and a puffy coat, but we at ELOQUII HQ have you covered for all your styling questions. Featuring some of our favorite pieces from our new collection, Ivy League, check out how you can pull pieces from the collection to boost your winter wardrobe.

Feminine & Fabulous

Flowing silhouettes, delicate prints, cable knits sweaters—oh my! This winter tackle all your style needs with two simple fixes: a gorgeous printed dress or the classic sweater/skirt combo. Our Mix Print Fit and Flare Dress (pair it with some patterned tights & silver booties for an elevated lift) brightens up an winter look. And when you have to step out into the cold, throw on a moto jacket (in white for a winter fresh look), camel scarf, or car coat to retain the feminine and polished look all day long. For a more adventurous (but still fabulous) style take a solid or printed a-symmetrical hem skirt and throw on a knit sweater over top for a wintery contrast. The result? Instant chic and comfy! Add some over the knee boots to protect your legs from the cold and strut your stuff!

City Slicker

Going for a more urban or daring look this winter? No problem — we’ve got you. Maybe you’re visiting our NYC pop up in SoHo (here until December 31st) and need to go from brunch to shopping to a show. We are all about layers in the city that never sleeps: start with a turtleneck and fantastic patterned tights. Then throw on a textured dress in a solid color (we’ve chosen our gorgeous faux leather trench dress, black of course). Add a pop of color shoe (white, red, or leopard will do), and accent the outfit with an oversized sweatshirt that doubles as a scarf. Forget the varsity prep look—you’re ready to take on the city sidewalk!

All About the Classics

As we know, the classics never go out of style, so why not elevate the always chic outfit formula of jeans, printed blouse, and blazer? While it may seem like simple math, update your look by included textures and patterns that celebrate winter. Here, we’ve pulled winter hues (ivies, blues, and plaids) for our plaid blazer, cuffed jeans, and delicately printed blouse. Keep the styling simple with silver pieces to pull out the blue hues from the ensemble. And if you’re going from day to night? Swap that plaid blazer for are always handy faux leather moto jacket, thrown on some heels, and dance!
